Giantec's First Power Management Chip Launches into Market

Today, Giantec Semiconductor, Inc.(‘Giantec’) announced its first power management chip is put onto market. Power Management IC product line is another main product line except both non-volatile memory semiconductors (EEPROM) and smart card chip product line. This product line includes AC - DC - GT50 series, step-down (buck) DC - DC -GT51 series and operational amplifiers (OPA) products.


The GT5131 is the first listed buck DC - DC non-synchronous controller. The product has a wide input voltage 4.5V ~ 24V, maximum 96% of the high conversion efficiency, maximum output current of 2A high driving capability, thermal type SSOP8 packages, features and other advantages. Based on the above-mentioned functions and features of the product, GT5131 is suitable for portable DVD, media player electronic devices, communications equipment, set-top boxes, industrial control and medical instrumentation, and other fields. Now We are offering product samples.


Giantec’s power management product line, adhering to the "high efficiency", "high reliability" and "high performance/cost" concept, will launch AC - DC, Synchronous Step-Down DC – DC and operational amplifiers etc. series products from the third quarter of 2010.
