Today, Giantec Semiconductor, Inc.(‘Giantec’) announced its first power management chip is put onto market. Power Management IC product line is another main product line except both non-volatile memory semiconductors (EEPROM) and smart card chip product line. This product line includes AC - DC - GT50 series, step-down (buck) DC - DC -GT51 series and operational amplifiers (OPA) products.

The GT5131 is the first listed buck DC - DC non-synchronous controller. The product has a wide input voltage 4.5V ~ 24V, maximum 96% of the high conversion efficiency, maximum output current of 2A high driving capability, thermal type SSOP8 packages, features and other advantages. Based on the above-mentioned functions and features of the product, GT5131 is suitable for portable DVD, media player electronic devices, communications equipment, set-top boxes, industrial control and medical instrumentation, and other fields.
